Powerlifting Meets+Events Across the Region

Iron Plains Powerlifting hosts powerlifting meets, free clinics, and seminars across western Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas, South Dakota, and Wyoming. Whether you're stepping on a platform for the first time or learning from world-class lifters, our events are designed to welcome lifters at every level and grow the sport in the region.

All events are hosted at Warehouse Fitness Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska - home base of Iron Plains Powerlifting and the only facility in the region with a monolift.

Powerlifting Meets

A powerlifting meet is a competition where lifters test their max strength in three lifts: squat, bench press, and deadlift. You get three attempts at each lift, and your best lifts are added together for your total. Meets are welcoming to lifters of all levels - first-timers compete alongside veterans, and everyone is there to support each other. Whether you compete raw (no supportive gear) or equipped (with squat suits, bench shirts, etc.), powerlifting meets are about testing yourself, setting PRs, and being part of the community.

SEMINARS & CLINICS

Seminars and clinics are hands-on learning events where you train directly with elite lifters and coaches. Clinics focus on specific techniques (like equipped bench press), while seminars cover broader topics (like meet preparation or mobility work). These events are designed to teach you skills, answer your questions, and give you access to world-class instruction you won't find anywhere else in the region. Perfect for lifters at any level who want to learn, improve, and train alongside the best.

WHY ATTEND IRON PLAINS EVENTS?

Community-Focused

Iron Plains events are designed to support lifters at all levels. Whether it's your first meet, your first clinic, or you're a seasoned competitor, you'll find a welcoming, supportive environment.

Equipped Powerlifting Pipeline

We're building equipped powerlifting presence in a region where it barely exists. Our meets and clinics are designed to introduce lifters to equipped lifting and create opportunities to compete in gear.

World-Class Instruction

Our seminars and clinics feature elite lifters and coaches from across the country - people like Madeline Scott, Sarah Buckley, AJ Roberts, and more. You won't find this level of instruction anywhere else in the region.

Monolift Access

Warehouse Fitness has the only monolift between Denver/Fort Collins and western Nebraska/Wyoming/western Kansas. For equipped lifters, this is a game-changer.

PAST POWERLIFTING MEETS

Corn & Kilos brought lifters from across the region to the platform in Scottsbluff. The meet was built for newer competitors — first-timers lifting alongside veterans, raw and single-ply divisions running together, and a room full of people pulling for each other all day. This is exactly what Iron Plains set out to do: get people on the platform and show them what they're capable of.

The Showdown is our signature event, and the 2026 edition delivered. Lifters from across western Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas, South Dakota, and Wyoming came to Scottsbluff to compete, and the strength community we've been building in this region showed up in full. Three weeks after Corn & Kilos, the platform was live again.
